Term 3 Week 7 Reminders
Week 7 will have two additional event to our normal learning routines.
1. NAPLAN Online Trial on Monday. Please make sure that you have your full charged laptop and a pair of working headphones at school on Monday. This is a trial of our capabilities to run NAPLAN online, not your abilities as a student. We will do an Omnibus test (which includes part of Language Conventions, Reading and Numeracy) and a separate Writing test.
2. We will start listening to speeches for the class round of the Public Speaking Competition on Tuesday.

Premiers Reading Challenge - closing soon!
Dear Parents
The Premiers Reading Challenge closes by the end of day on Friday!
Students need to complete entry of books on their Student Reading Record (SRR) by the 31st of August to be eligible for the award of a certification of their efforts.

Anina - Spanish Film Study π¬π¬πΊπΎπΊπΎ

Book Week 2018 is finally here!
Join in the fun 'me hearties' and come and listen to a book taster reading at lunch time in the Hub, Flexi Room or Stretch Zone.
Bring your Treasure Map and get it stamped for each visit for a chance to win treasure at the end of the week!

Put your name and suggestion into the box on the Pirate Ship by end of Thursday, 23 August, for a chance to win a little bit of treasure!

Science week competitions - encourage your children to join in!
All students - test your inner scientist this week and join in the Daily Science quiz, or try your hand in construction and engineering opportunities in Makerspace on Monday!
Check out the amazing close-up photographs and see if you can work out what is in the photos? Use the Google form to submit the answers!
Daily quizzes - listen to the questions at assembly and write your answer on a slip of paper, add your name and class, and post it in the box near the FlexiRoom.

Last few weeks - Premiers Reading Challenge closing soon!
Last few weeks!!!!!
Log in to the Premiers Reading Challenge web site to record all the books you have read before 31 August. There is still time to join in the challenge of reading different quality literature as recommended by the NSW Premier!
You only need to read 20 books on your own, or read them with someone or someone can read them to you.
There is helpful section to search for book choices on the Premiers Reading Challenge web site.
